We hope you have registered, if not, please register online today. Next up, is Bobcat Weekend! It is only a few weeks away (October 6-7). We hope that your student signs up for these outstanding dinners and conversations that include 10 faculty and 10 staff. A free buffet dinner is offered to the first 50 attendees. This month, on Tuesday September 26, it is for first-year students, with faculty and staff discussing the transition to college. It’s a great diversion from our traditional dining halls.Īdditionally, On the Rocks becomes Talks on the Rocks once a month. Meal points are accepted for all food and non-alcoholic beverages. The student-led leadership team brings a student perspective to hiring staff, managing the menu, delivering great entertainment, and helping to make it a student destination for dining. Please ensure your student is aware that On the Rocks Pub and Grill is now open Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 10 p.m. There are many things I could highlight throughout the first few weeks of classes, but I will focus on one student-led initiative, which reflects our mantra for co-curricular activities and services “for students by students.” It takes a village of staff to support our students and we are all here for them. If your student hasn’t joined a club, rec team, intramural sport, service opportunity or found a job on campus, please encourage them to meet with a staff member within Campus Life, Residential Life, the Learning Commons, or have them seek out their academic adviser for assistance. The student engagement fair, which took place during the first week of classes, filled the Quad with more than 150 tables and a few thousand students in attendance. We are extremely grateful to have this year’s students actively involved. Thank you for entrusting your student’s education in the hands of Quinnipiac University. ![]()
